Update on the Friends and Family Program

DOC recently completed the pilot of the Friends and Family Program at two institutions. Following the pilot, an internal review was conducted to assess what worked well and to identify areas for improvement. We also met with the program’s vendor to discuss feedback, lessons learned, and potential enhancements.

At this time, no official decision has been made about whether the program will be expanded, continued, or discontinued. We understand there are rumors circulating, and we want to reassure friends and family that no determination has been made one way or the other. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
