Will you identify the employee?
The former Library Coordinator is Demetre Gennette of Caldwell, Idaho. She has been indicted by the Malheur Circuit Court.
Will the former employee be charged with a crime?
The charging responsibility rests with the District Attorney's office in Malheur County, not DOC.
On June 5, 2026, DOC was notified that the Malheur Circuit Court had indicted Demetre Gennette one three felonies and two misdemeanors: Aggravated Theft in the First Degree, Supplying Contraband, Computer Crime, Official Misconduct in the First Degree, and Custodial Sexual Misconduct in the Second Degree.
